Vehicle Electrician – USAF Fleet Maintenance

About the role
Perform electrical repairs and maintenance on the USAF vehicle fleet, ensuring compliance with mandatory requirements and the Performance Work Statement.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect, test, repair and maintain electrical systems on heavy, light and special‑purpose vehicles and material handling equipment using wiring diagrams, test equipment and special tools.
- Charge and repair air‑conditioning systems, conduct limited technical inspections, and manage battery charging and storage.
- Research parts via FEDLOG, technical orders and parts manuals; complete work orders with hours and materials.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum three years’ experience as a vehicle electrician and formal training or apprenticeship in electrical engineering.
- U.S. citizenship to obtain a Public Trust clearance; valid driver’s license.
Required skills
- Interpretation of wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
- Use of electrical test equipment, special tools, and battery charging equipment.
- Repair of air‑conditioning systems and battery maintenance.
- Part research using FEDLOG and technical orders.
