Vehicle Electrician for USAF Fleet Maintenance

About the role
The Vehicle Electrician provides electrical repairs and maintenance for the USAF vehicle fleet in Guam, ensuring all work complies with USAF requirements and the Performance Work Statement.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect, test, repair and maintain electrical systems on heavy, light and special‑purpose vehicles and material handling equipment.
- Interpret wiring diagrams, use test equipment and special tools, and charge/repair air‑conditioning systems.
- Conduct Limited Technical Inspections, diagnose malfunctions, order parts and document repair costs.
- Maintain stocked batteries, manage the battery charging room and ensure safety equipment is functional.
- Complete work orders, report tool wear and perform additional duties as assigned.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least three years of experience as a vehicle electrician.
- Formal training or apprenticeship in electrical engineering.
- Valid driver’s license (home country and ability to obtain host‑nation license).
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Required skills
- Electrical repair and maintenance on vehicles and MHE.
- Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and technical orders.
- Use of test equipment, special tools and air‑conditioning service tools.
- Battery charging, storage and handling.
- Research parts via FEDLOG and parts manuals.
