Construction Schedule Analyst

About the role

The Construction Schedule Analyst provides technical guidance and management support to engineers and architects overseeing capital improvement projects. This position assists in establishing realistic construction durations and ensures schedule compliance across a range of MILCON and large‑scale projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist engineers/architects in leading execution of capital improvement construction projects and provide technical guidance.
• Support design‑phase activities to establish appropriate construction durations for MILCON, O/M Special, and complex NWCF projects.
• Maintain historical and current construction‑schedule metrics using eContracts reports.
• Perform semi‑annual data analysis and present recommendations to improve product‑line performance.
• Provide testimony in ASBCA or arbitration cases and train construction‑management personnel on scheduling software.
• Participate in Construction Assist Visits to audit field office operations for schedule compliance.

Required profile

• At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS‑12 level, demonstrating technical guidance to engineers/architects.
• Experience establishing baseline construction durations for high‑visibility MILCON projects.
• Proven ability to conduct critical‑path schedule analysis, validate delay impacts, and review contractor Time Impact Analyses.
• Understanding of scheduling requirements and ability to train construction‑management staff.
