Public Policy Manager – Government Relations

About the role

GR Korea is seeking a Public Policy Manager to lead government‑relations initiatives for its office in Yeongdeungpo‑gu, Seoul. The successful candidate will support a diverse client base across sectors, delivering strategic outreach, policy intelligence and tailored advice on Korean public‑policy matters.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement practical government‑relations strategies and produce customized written reports for clients.
• Lead outreach and engagement plans with policy stakeholders, leveraging extensive networks within key government bodies.
• Provide strategic counsel to clients, manage relationships professionally, and gather timely policy intelligence.
• Demonstrate strong project‑management and leadership skills while collaborating with colleagues.
• Contribute to new‑business development by generating ideas and proposals as part of the GR Korea and The GR Company team.

Required profile

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in government, government relations, politics or strategy consulting with deep knowledge of Korean politics and policy‑making.
• Fluent Korean communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills; English proficiency is a plus.
• Strategic thinker able to analyse complex contexts for global and local executives, government stakeholders and media.
• Proactive self‑starter who thrives under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• University degree in public policy, economics, politics, communications or international relations.
